Christophe Claret is a Swiss luxury watch brand. Christophe Claret himself was born in Lyon in 1962. At a young age, Christophe Claret discovered a passion for the mechanics of time.

His passion was born in 1976 at the workshop of a watchmaker restorer and he spends over a year disassembling and assembling horological mechanisms in order to clean and service them. He entered the Geneva Watchmaking School in 1978. After graduating he continued his training at the Roger Dubuis watchmaker-jeweler to subsequently set up his first watchmaking workshop at a family-run establishment in Lyon specialising in restoration. 1987 was a year of revelation after meeting Rolf Schnyder, owner of the Ulysse Nardin brand, who placed an order for 20 San Marco minute-repeater calibres with jacks.

His passion and drive was born, and two years later he established Claret Manufacture. In just a decade, his name became a benchmark in the field of complication movements, with his customer base growing. From 2002 to 2008, Claret Manufacture pursued its expansion, today employing approximately a hundred employees in about thirty different professions. Also working on behalf of third parties, including his own private clients, Christophe Claret produced watches in his own name, often unique pieces for collectors. Initially a sideline business, it came into its own in 2009. To date he has devised and executed 68 unique complicated movements. In celebration of 20 years of watchmaking, Christophe Claret designed the DualTow, a mechanical concentration of his watchmaking skill which heralded the grand complications of the future.

The featured watch describe is a Swiss made Christophe Claret X-Trem-1 MTR-FLY11.080-088 PVD coated, 18k Rose Gold/ Titanium rectangle shaped case measuring 40.80x56.80mm diameter. Fixed 18k Rose Gold bezel. Manual-winding mechanical movement, power reserve up to ± 50hours. Displays a Gray /Black Skeletonized dial with Rose Gold Arabic numerals.

At 6:00 o'clock there is a \ "soaring \" flying tourbillon. With a slope incline at a 30° angle, mounted on a three-dimensional curvex titanium mainplate, equipped with a retrograde hours and minutes display system that is radically different from existing watchmaking conventions. An original system of indicating hours and minutes on the outside of the case.

Isolated within two hollow spheres moving over a 23 mm segment and enclosed in sapphire tubes. Tubes on the left and right sides of the caseband, magically move with no mechanical connection thanks to magnetic fields. The second hand is placed on the tourbillon. At 12:00 o'clock the button for setting the time.

Manual-winding mechanical Caliber Fly11 , from the X-Trem-1 model Frequency 21600 Alt/h is a shaped movement with an inclined- tourbillon escapement and a magnetically driven time display. The whole movement design consists of 419 parts, assembled on 64 precious stones.

And there are also 2 winding drums: one is for the time reference system, the other is for the time indication system. Standby time is 50 hours of continuous operation. The balance frequency of the oscillations is 21600 p / h (3 Hz).

A feature of the mechanical caliber is that it uses a magnet. With the lack of mechanical articulation between the watch mechanism and indicators.. Comes in Fitted Box with Certificate... (once the reserve is met).
